
A list of what to stock up to prepare for winter illnesses. This is more related to respiratory illness (cold, flu, etc).
Food/Herbs
- Chicken broth (stock)
- Fresh mint
- Fresh ginger
- Fresh garlic
- Fresh or powdered turmeric
- Black pepper
- Chamomile tea
- Green tea (matcha)
- Manuka honey
Supplements
OTC Medicines
- Saline spray
- Children’s Tylenol (dye free)
- Regular Tylenol (for the adults)
For food, of course everything fresh is better, but sometimes when you’re already sick, it’s great to have ready to use chicken broth handy as your comfort food.
Obviously this list is not exhaustive, and there are some recipes that are useful to prevent or function as home remedy when sick.
